Learn How GMP Utilized an LTE Network and CalAmp’s Fusion to Complete its Smart Grid Project

Nov.  13, 2012  - CalAmp Corp. (NASDAQ: CAMP), a leading provider of wireless products, services and solutions, and Green Mountain Power (GMP), Vermont’s largest utility, announced today that a webinar will be held at 1 p.m. CST, November 15, on the topic of Advanced Smart Grid Networking.  The webinar, “A Case Study: GMP leverages LTE for a Smart Grid”, will detail how GMP reached its decision to utilize the LTE network of Vermont Telephone Company (VTel) and CalAmp’s Fusion wireless router in its Smart Grid project.

Webinar attendees will learn the challenges GMP overcame in building out its Smart Grid network, including the lack of contiguous backhaul available in Vermont. Attendees will also learn how GMP utilized grant funds to support VTel’s build-out of an LTE network and how the two entities collaborated on a service level agreement.  And when GMP was confronted with the fact that no suitable wireless customer premise equipment was commercially available to complete its Smart Grid project, learn why it turned to CalAmp to solve the problem.

If interested in learning how to deploy a Smart Grid and how you can centralize the large volume of data in a scalable and economical way, attend this webinar.  Ideal webinar attendees will be anyone deploying a Smart Grid and any utility, whether investor owned, municipally owned or Co-Op.
